That isn't 300mph.

Awesome!

Series 500 I think are the nicest-looking of all the Shinkansen trains.

@silentplummet oop... my mistake hehe. actually a friend of mine responded exact same thing what you said haha..... bullet bulletっと。。。 気をつけなきゃ・・・

@lvglvglvg1 the word is 'Bullet Train' (「銃弾」を英語に直訳した単語) , not Brett Train.
Although a Brett Train zipping around the Japanese countryside might be an interesting sight to see...

@dliondndn おおおー! よく気づいた! haha you realized that? yes that train machine was inspired from Nozomi. If you have a chance to watch other animation not only gaogaigar, you will see other types (older version) of Shinkansen (Brett Train) too.

POLACY!!! UCIEKAĆ BO PRZYPIERDOLI !!!

is that a shinkansen from gaogaigar?

@KuraIthys To your knowledge, the shinkansen have a record of a year's punctuality of all the trains, an average of 6 seconds of delay
-
Super !
In Japan, people are rarely aware of speed but they care much more of its punctuality, the signal and earthquake warning system including urgent earthquake detection and alarm system. The Shinkansen's average arrival time can be within one second of the scheduled time. It also has advanced track to reduce vibration and noise. When I take the Shinkansen, I feel like that I'm doing ice skating. For the Japanese, all these factors are important to measure its high speed railway technology.

@sonicfan7 yeah, but speed is nothing without safety.
The japanese Shinkansen can't go faster for the reason of many factors, such as noise restriction which can't go beyond 70db running @ it's top cruise speed, then earthquakes in Japan takes place quite often so how quick they're able to stop linked the UrEDAS warning system with ATC, and so on goes the list
