@MrPainfulTruth A power chord is made up of a Root note, the 5th note and the 8th note. e.g. A5 = Root note : A(6th string, 5th fret) / 5th note: E(5th string, 7th fret) and the 8th note: which is the octave of the Root note( 4th string, 7th fret)
