Here's an example demonstrating that nest box pairing (2 boxes within 10' on separate poles or both on the same pole) can reduce competition that often exists between bluebirds and tree swallows for single nest sites. After inital squabbling to decide who gets which box both species can settle down and reporduce successfully. In the video the bluebirds and tree swallows are both feeding nestlings.
