This bridge is a really nice piece of modern architecture (unusual in a place like Newark!).
However, it's let down badly by many things:
1. The mud track leading to it from Northgate. Only in Newark would you have a brand new bridge with no decent road leading to it.
2. The scrapyard next to it.
3. The bridge itself is a health & safety hazard. The ramps leading to it are wooden with slats on it, which when wet or icy are downright dangerous.
Maybe these are the reasons the bridge is

did they ever finish the old brewery building we can see in the background? which stands on northgate, beautiful structure with all the arches, it was in a terrible state, in needs of many repairs such a shame.
