@GamingUplink The internet has been around since the early 70's and was created out of need during the cold war in case that someone with nuclear weapons attacked, we would still have communication.

Cern created the internet as we know it, but it's been around for ages and was known as arpanet, so if you really want to get technical about it, the basis for the internet was created by the united states military.
