I was inspired by the first design and made my own abit simpler wiring and i copied it so i had 3 and got 14 stacks for it :D

How big are do you think the chances are they are going to make melons just pushable by pistons, and that pistons won't destroy them?

Docm, no need to use a block update detector; just use a repeater to push power through the newly grown melon block.

The central column design is a better idea than what I did though as far as redstone required...

i have a question: on ure first farm u have a water flowing down in the middle.

is that needed ? Or can i make the farm to without that water in the middle ?
