Clips taken mostly from The Hurt Locker. The ending sequence taken from Blawk Hawk Down. Music from Two Steps from Hell and Immediate Music.

I didn't spend a whole lot of time on this video. Just a side-project, but for the effort I put in I'm pleased with the results.

Enjoy.

  • He could have turned around the front is more protected than the back it is like a juggernaut suit in modern warfare 2 more armor in the front less in the back

  • to bad the guy in the car would of never made it past any of the very high powered guns

  • EOD would drop any motherfucker with a phone without question. dont even try arguing with me because i have a good friend in the marine corps EOD who shot somebody with a TV remote, who infact, had it wired to the IED. they do this now because more often than not a suspected person would end up being the person who blew something up, killing a marine or other service member

  • I love how the bastard waved like a innocent civilian. Fucker. -_-

  • @slickbomb I remember seeing a pub about the suit (from the manufacturer) at school, and it did mention slight blast protection, but stated that the main purpose was for frag (The plates in the front). I will try to find and re-read it. I have a TL (senior badge) sitting behind me, and asked him. He says that it's for frag, so I am going to do some research. Protection doesn't do you much good if you don't know what it's protecting from, right?

  • @MuffinMan7580 Ask one of your Senior or Master Techs to show you the research behind the suit. East Coast Navy Training Units used to have a power-point detailing that info but I think the power-point was re-written to teach the reasons and principals of why we wear it and how it protects you...

  • @MuffinMan7580...brother, the MED ENG designed the suit to protect primarily from blast overpressure. Fragmentation protection is available but is minimal. The main reason you walk backwards is because the majority of protection from blast and frag is in the front of the suit. I'll be at the school house soon and will bring this up because is someone it teaching new guys that the bomb suit is designed primarily for frag protection, they need to be corrected!!!

  • @slickbomb The EOD suit IS designed for frag. The suit has several kevlar plates in it (almost all of them are in the front). The helmet is the only thing that might reduce overpressure, but most of the padding in the helmet is designed to keep you from getting any head injuries by getting thrown by the blast. If you're a tech, then maybe you remember school when they had you back away from stuff in the suit, rather than turn around and walk?

  • this is so sad and such a good vid
