@CharmSchool20 Wow, thank you so much! I really appreciate your compliment. I'm the same way about covers usually. I guess this one just fit me better than most.

Will you please tell me the chords, I cant find them anywhere
dustinmccorkle 4 months ago
@dustinmccorkle Yeah, it's basically just two chords B - C#m7 for the entire song, except for that little break which is D-A-E-B the first time and D-A-kinda of a weird little jazz, augmented chord: it's the C#m7 without fretting the third finger. Then it goes back into the last verse. Really on the main riff you want the B bass/root note to keep ringing out even during the c#m7 part. So I used a capo on the second fret and just barred the bottom four strings

@SpickeringLR so chord chart for that would be (relative to capo) C#m7- x46454 B- x24442 D-xx0232 A-x02220 E-022100 ? just wanna see what inversions ya used

@randompersonwill Yeah, that's right, except I played the C#m7 with a B bass note. Basically with the capo on I just barred the bottom four strings (Or do they call those the "top" four strings? I always get those mixed up) with my index finger and hammered on to that 6 and 5 on the 4th and 2nd strings, letting the B bass note ring out throughout the figure, but it sounds fine either way.

@randompersonwill And then that break would would start with an open C chord shape (which is a D chord with the Capo) to an open G figure to an open D figure back to an open A figure, then back around again Open C - to Open G but then to 4-4-4-5-4 to end that break or middle eight on before going back into the last verse.
Wish I could have set up the camera to where it would have showed my guitar and frettings!
