@wyntje83 and you've got to be there because you want to be there. Because this profession IS your life and it consumes all of your life. I once heard a story about a reporter asking a Navy fighter pilot's wife about is love for the work. She just shook her head and said "I'm his mistress. He's married to the jet."

@wyntje83 It's not quite that simple. You can't just watch a movie, then walk down to your local recruiter and get a guaranteed shot at a Hornet slot. The people in this series worked years to get where they are. I found these episodes after watching "Speed & Angels", the people in that documentary said they decided to become fighter pilots after they saw the movie Top Gun and they later became elite navy fighter pilots. Now this guy is saying becoming a fighter pilot is a calling not a decision you make after watching the movie Top Gun.
