if I buy a new ps3 and I have my old hard drive will I still have all my save data if I put the hard drive in my new ps3

You said that a 7200rpm drive won't give much of a performance boost, but will it still work properly?

Gamehelper. I installed a 160GB hdd yesterday. When the system came up it didn't ask to format HDD it said it needed System update file. I downloaded from Sony and put it on a disk and updated system. System came up fine but after hours of doing a retore I notice the PS3 still thinking it has an 80Gig HDD installed and Not allowing me to install more games cause it's out of space. Any Ideas?

i gt a problem.i have not changed the hard drive..the stock hdd is still der .from the day i bot it.bt recently i gt messages sayin its currupted.the downloaded and installed games in the Hdd take a long time to load///can anyone help me..??

@Anoush13 It's not just me then. Lol. I downloaded infamous and i had to wipe out just about everything on my hard drive just to install it. Lol.
