Das Video ist einfach nur vulgär! Es hat nichts mehr mit dem Drama zu tun, es ist pure Verdummung! Hat er das Buch nicht richtig gelesen? Salomé verlangt als Preis für ihren Tanz den Kopf des Propheten. Wird er vielleicht in diesem Video als Kohlkopf übergeben?

I know Wilde's pièce and Strauss's opera based on it and I like very much both works. That's why Russell's interpretation, and especially the use of the playful music by Grieg instead of the dramatic score from Strauss's Salome disturbs me. For the rest I agree with monakw

@brutusbassoon1.I dunno 2. SAL like sally, O then ME like you and me or some say MAY like the month...you say potato I say poe tot toe Let's call the whole thing OFF :) 3. Read Oscar Wilde's version..and you will begin to understand more...it really is a MUST READ. It is an interpetation of a biblical myth.As an aside Artist Aubrey Beardsley illustrated Wilde's version in 1907 for a London publication called the SAVOY.Some of the costumes in THIS play are a reflection of Beardsley's work
