Mitt Romney thinks putting ads on PBS programming like Sesame Street is a good way to reduce the budget deficit. The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks down the 2012 Republican Presidential candidate's idea.

  • After seeing the GOP candidates, we really need to stop telling our children that anyone can grow up to be President.

  • PBS did a special on the Dover trial. That's why it's hated so much by the religious right.

  • WTF is wrong with these politicians?!

  • RON PAUL OR NONE AT ALL 2012!

  • This guy is a retard! Romney wasn't just talking about Sesame Street! He's just trying to get people to view TYT by over-exaggerating!

  • Republicans are NOT all brain-washing sadistic people seeking to control and dumb everyone down. Well... not all of them. Tea Party maybe. I like Uygur's talks but saying something like that just makes him less like an intellectual and more like one of those fear-mongers you see on FOX. Seriously. Personal attacks on a specific group of people is as stupid as it gets >_<

  • Bitch, if you take away Arthur I'll kick your ass >:(

  • By the way, PBS already receives corporate funding.

  • I am a huge Sesame Street fan... that does not think it should be government funded. PBS, and Sesame Workshop, who makes Sesame Street both could be fine without the funding. The government only pays 15% of PBS's budget, Sesame Workshop, an even smaller 5%. They could easily be able to get more donations. Sesame Workshop actually uses the profits from merchandise, in addition to donations, to help fund the show. With just a little more fundraising, both could keep going without taxpayer money.

  • OMG Whats the big deal, just have ads, it wont change the education. Just have ads. Discovery has ads, National Geographic has ads.

  • @395235 Which, if my math is correct, is equivelent to 200k being 0.0000003% of 600 billion dollars.
