Tubulum FAQ: http://thejerrymoblog.wordpress.com/tubulum-faq/

It's about bloody time I made this video. Enjoy!

10 hours later... The AudioSwap finally worked. It's rare to find a song of less than 75% suckage that's actually around the same length as your video. Ah, who am I kidding?

Trivia time! Who can guess what the vertical strip of green tape says? You could win... a frozen muffin or something.

For those of you who are new to the Monster Tubulum, it's an instrument inspired by the Blue Man Group, and constructed entirely from components found at a hardware store that will remain nameless unless they want to sponsor the build (retroactively). :) All tube was mitered by hand in a custom-built miter box to accommodate both the size of pipe and angle of the head. Designs and specifications are original.

  • How long did it take to build?? And how much did it cost you?

  • @johnsonandrew2497 about six months I think, and I'm not sure but I address it in a bit of detail on the FAQ ;)

  • why did you decide to tune it in the specific order?

  • @abysslord16 As far as routing goes, I really had no idea how I was going to work it out before I started in on it, so I just went with what worked best. :) As for the note layout itself, it's much the same story; I tried to figure out what kind of arrangement would allow me to play a majority of the things I wanted to. Thanks for watching! :)

  • Thank you man, i've been looking for a FAQ like yours for a long time =D. God bless ya, greetings from Brazil! Thx for sharing!

  • @MusicislifeBR Haha, I'm glad you liked it! If you have any other questions, I'd be happy to answer them! :)

  • @thejerrymobile AWESOME!!! But yeah you should color code the extension sets by their pitch range because when you add a body rotation into the mix it is much easier for you mind to for get or lose track of where things are even if its a memorized action.
