Anderson: Kathy Griffin & Gloria Vanderbilt discuss New Year 2012

2-27-11 - If Anderson is really a closeted gay man (and I'm not saying that he is), I wonder if he ever worries that Kathy might unintentionally out him on the air. After all, Kathy is somewhat of a loose cannon. On a related note, some may remember when Kathy and Ryan Seacrest co-presented at the American Music Awards in 2003. In an unscripted moment, Ryan pulled open Kathy's blouse on stage, exposing her bra. She was reportedly pissed, and later said that he sexually assaulted her.

@saznbabigurl Why do you say that? While the failure rate for talk shows is extremely high, Anderson is the only person to fill the void left by Oprah in daytime TV. The only other major non-trashy non-exploitative show is Ellen but she focuses on celebrities. Like Oprah, Anderson mixes pop culture with serious topics and how-to episodes. It's a shame the show isn't on a major network. They should have picked it up after cancelling the soaps. I think Anderson has a chance.
