@jabrown45100 this was no descrimination they had this secret in their town and they wanted to keep it secret.they didnt want the rest of the world to find out.and the woman knew pedro and she could go public with it.havent you seen the episode? it explains in the end.and if you wanna know about descrimination well you can look and how americans see mexican people.but thats another subject.sorry for the late reply but i had to say it

I'd be worried about our relationship whithering since his wife is obsessed with the painting. Most of all seems typical and butresses my experience with mexicans, (sorry but its happened to me too with this alienation with them) to discriminate the couple out the hotel. Latinos receive our respect, but they don't respect us.

Its almost painful to see Mexicans portrayed by non latinos and hear them talk in a bad imitation of spanglish. That the hotel clerk kept calling Lee Bergere senora and not senor,was just bad....
And the young Mexican American boy..you could almost hear him being told-act Mexican! smile all the time!
Lee Bergere's performance in the Star Trek episode "The Savage Curtain" is one of the best ever portrayals of Abraham Lincoln.

@gaIIery - Yes his portrayal is exceptional. The Savage Curtain can be seen on youtube. Only CBS uploads are in one video upload.
