  • @Ourumov66 The name of the song was: In Hof der Reichskanzlei, from the Film Downfall (Der Untergang) Soundtrack......

  • @BoborGlenn They have been from Arno Breker and in bronze. The Russian melted them in 1946. They are from Brekers classical period (1927-1948) and would be today plenty millions worth - compared to the today market prices of his smaler scluptures.

  • Deutschland nil England 2

  • I wonder, does anyone know whatever happened to the two large sculptures that were positioned on either side of the portico, the two men with torches. Did the Soviets destroy them too?

  • @DazlaSS3 Are you sure? well, I apreciate thegigantic effort of Mr. Speer but....these proportions are in total disaccord with human canons. here is not Beauty but Oppresion.

Please consult AAchitect Otto Rieth skechtes; and you will understand what I mean. Thanks*

  • No trees, no sculptures, no balconnades....waht a boring sight !!!

  • Reichskanzlei is gone and Speer is dead.... but actualy some of red marble plates from Reichskanzlei was used in building Berlin metro station Morenstrasse and plates are still there... :))

  • Magnificent awesome powerful. A work of architectural brlliance Her SPEER.

  • @Dickenson1960 It's on my list. In the Reichskanzlei building I particularly like the pink marble walls interfacing with the grey marble door frames at major portals. the color combination is both powerful and refined.

  • @aardvaark069 I too have a love for the artistry and craftsmanship of these outgrowths of the beaux arts movement. For a real adventure in over the top though, nothing can touch the Palais Garnier (Paris Opera) a monument to humanist exuberance at its best.
