This episode features the Duggars rules about dating and courtship, and includes a hidden camera view of oldest son Josh popping the big question to his fiancee Anna on her 20th birthday.

  • I think my da would piss himself laughing if some lad asked could he marry me LOL

  • Jim Bob and Michelle are constantly contradicting themselves. They always say that they leave it up to their kids to make their own decisions, such as Josh and courtship, but then they mandate that they have a chaperone with them at all times. So I guess its really not up to Josh to make the decision himself on what he will/ wont do before marriage. If it was really up to Josh, they would entrust him on making the right decisions himself without the need of a chaperone following at all times.

  • Josh: When I say special, I MEAN special.. I'm talking a denny's type deal with plastic alligators wearing clothes... come on what gal doesn't want her proposal to be there? LMAO. Actually without spending a ton of money they could have taken her to the ocean or a park, somewhere naturally gorgous and he could have popped the question then.. *sighs* you don't have to spend a fortune on a proposal, just be creative.

  • Lol, people hating on the Duggars. Funny thing is that the parents love each other and are not going to get a divorce, their kids are all more well behaved, nicer and not fak/shallow like 95% of today's kids, and they're all truly good people who don't force their beliefs on anyone else, but truly live a good life. So stop hiding behind your little computer screens with your hate filled typos. Get a grip, get a life, and get some manners.

  • @MonetteJayLopez It would be nice if more guys would do that!

  • @RichKnight2010 I think they're just Baptist...not sure what kind of Baptist exactly :/ but yes they are Baptist

  • @DuggarFamily92 Well I was actually wondering the same thing but I think it's because they don't trust what is out there...it's not that they don't trust their kids. My parents limited my internet access too.

  • "we think you're the one" LOL dad's in love

  • @FreakMagnet66 A to the freakin men on that! So much hateful comments probably from Jealous people who wish this would happen for them so they gotta make nasty, snide, remarks. For whatever reason their lives are so miserable or they just enjoy trying to create DRAMA because they have nothing in their lives better to do than to just hate.

Better to be happy than a miserable, angry all the time preg.

  • @myscongeniality If they wern't Christians I can say that he would not have come out as good as he did! Props to Michelle and Jim Bob for their awesome godly parenting!

  • @FreakMagnet66 I agree!

  • @TheCaliforniaPrinces

It only seems creepy because we live in such an unnatural dogs-in-heat culture now. "Courting" used to be universal, not too long ago.
