A few late night launches, speed runs, and acceleration demos with a soundtrack provided by my Rebel Autoworx CAI/supercharger whine and GMPP exhaust. Those are my only mods aside from 235/40/18 Nexen N7000 tires on wheels that weigh 4-5lbs more than the stock wheels! The tires are reasonably grippy, but the extra rotating mass makes the car a bit sluggish. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention that I have 150-200lbs of stereo equipment in the car along with a bunch of other stuff that adds weight! Enjoy the soundtrack! That's basically why I posted this vid!

  • why did you replace that good stock head unit with a crappy walmart single din?

learn about radios man, get a good one like a Pioneer FH-P8000BT.

+that car doesnt sound like anything is going for it other than the charger, thats it!

get some mods done homie and get back on a video, otherwise this just looks like a dealership test drive.

  • @powercamaro87You're a tool! That head unit is a 10 year old Alpine unit that is STILL better than most current head units. It was Alpine's 2nd best 1 DIN at the time. I recently upgraded to an Alpine CDA-117, which is better in every way than that POS Pioneer you pointed out. My sound system is most likely better than anything you have ever heard. I upgraded more than just the head unit. You need to learn about "radios", douchebag! lol

  • @07SSSUPERCHARGED Please dont make a fool of yourself kid. Go on cobaltss.net... they will all tell you how much the oem head unit is better than most of your standard single din setups, #1. Im not a tool, im a married man with 2 kids. #2. all you have going for you is a stock ss (super sport). SS's were originally made for the performance enthusiast, and you ruin it with a single din walmart head unit, your no better than the hispanic family of 14 living next door to me.

  • @powercamaro87 Kid? I'm 32. I have over 3000 posts on cobaltss.net, but thanks for the tip. If your a married man with 2 kids, maybe you should spend more time with your kids and less time trolling on Youtube!

If Walmart sells Alpine CDA-117's, then Walmart sells good shit! LMFAO. It's one of the best head units on the market PERIOD! I guarantee I know more about car audio than you do and there aren't likely many other Cobalts with a sound system as complex as mine. Here's my setup:

  • @07SSSUPERCHARGED

-Alpine CDA-117 head unit + 60gb iPod full of Apple lossless tunes (MP3's suck, but you wouldn't know that)

-Kicker 9 band graphic equalizer (strictly for fine tuning my mid bass, mid range and high frequencies. I use the sub output straight from the CDA-117)

-Alpine MRD-M500 sub amp, MRD-M300 mid mid bass amp, MRV-F340 4 channel amp.

-Infinity Kappa 6.5" components, Kappa 6x9's, Kicker SSMB8 8" mid bass speakers in doors, Jl Audio 10w6 H.O. subwoofer.

  • seems that the sound of a baby who cries lol

  • LOL. That would be the sound of the supercharger through the 3" cold air intake.

  • @07SSSUPERCHARGED first of all i know that mp3's suck nowadays, there not bad, but there is better. 2nd i have a SSHD mounted in my glove box and hook up sata to a mini mobo which projects on a 7" LED, i have been doing audio systems my whole life. I promise you my audio equipment is future proof to the max. I will admit it was kinda "douchebag" of me to come out just claiming your system sucks, and to say you need to "learn" cause you know what your talking about.

  • i recommend it. But its your car, do what you want. I did some stuff that people told me not to do and i love it. Just make sure if you go to 2.8/60, get some cooling mods, i didnt have any and had no issues but its always good so you can add more timing. Esp. meth injection, was able to add 6* of timing and my tune isnt even finished.

  • I may get a 2.8 and 60# injectors and get a custom tune. There are a couple of guys near me who can tune, I'm just not sure how good they are! lol. I just need to get a bit of a cash cushion first in case something gets messed up. I usually don't floor it until I get into 2nd to prevent wheel hop.
