With Egypt's political situation hitting the news headlines once more, it is important to highlight the safety of the nation's holiday resorts. Going out into the streets of Sharm el Sheikh our teams asked a number of people from various countries about their safety in the resort. Sharm has often been called the City of Peace as it was frequently used as the venue for negotiations to settle disputes in the Middle East. It seems that Sharm is still a great venue for sun seekers, divers and cultural tourists and remains isolated from the conflicts of its Northern cities as its reputation for peace remains.
Guests in the town were asked a series of questions which may assist others in making their decisions over whether to amend their holiday plans.
Many of the guests were first timers to Egypt and had heard much of the news prior to leaving their home countries. All had been impressed with the level of security and safety in the resort and urge others to travel to Sharm and enjoy the many attractions that the unique environment has to offer.
