Ode to Terry

To show that having a baby with Down syndrome is a blessing not a burden. To show the joy that my son brings to everyone in his life. To help people understand that children with DS deserve to enjoy life like any other person. To change the mind of at least one woman who is considering terminating the pregnancy once the child is diagnosed with Down syndrome. If it changes one mind, then I've made a difference

I have the same blessing from God, three beautiful daughters, the youngest of which has Down syndrome, and I know exactly how you feel. Videos like these are so important, if expectant moms only knew how much of a joy our children were, none of them would be aborted!

I had to watch your video after you posted it on Lexi's blog. Terry is amazing! My daughter Abernathie was born 8-11-11 and I really feel like my purpose now is to show.people our kids are more alike than different and without a doubt life worth living, especially now that tests are more readily available to show earlier diagnosis. Your family is beautiful! Thank you for sharing!!!

Ive come to realize this. I worked with DS students in high school and one undeniable thing about them is they are the happiest people on the planet. I was blessed with a daughter who regressed into autism after a vaccine and although I knew what it was like to have a typical child before the shot, I have learned so many important lessons in life from her since. Patience, understanding & uncontrollable love....we all can learn from these special children. God bless you Terry & ur family <3

AWW, what a beautiful video, i am blessed with 3 lovely daughters, the youngest is 2 and just happens to have trisomy 21. getting the word out is so important. we feel the same way about Cailyn as you do your Terry. He is gorgeous, as are your other children. Thanks for sharing this video!
