dave wrote this song pretty much all of it except the bass part. when he left metallica changed the name, the lyrics, the tempo, and added a solo. it has the same base parts but they are still both different songs. and metallica didnt steal the song because megadeth was able to release daves song. there is no point in fighting over it because they are both great songs and great bands.

it was actually called mechanix when he wrote it. metallica renamed it four horsemen and changed the tempo and changed the lyrics
