@savere2006 sorry this is a very late reply, i just seen this vid, i own the HD70, its on 2000 hours now, i bought it in 2006, not bad at all really and the pic quality is awesome! :D

@phelpsholt i own the HD70! im on 2000 hours now, lol, how many hours do you have on yours? :) i need to get a lamp very soon cos i keep getting the replacement reminder of doom message every time i turn it on XD

You might want darken and use matt on those walls in that room.

@Deanzsyclone DLP has higher ansi contrast and doesn't have panel misalignment issues. Another problem with the newer LCDs with the great black levels is that they all rely on dynamic irises to achieve them and some find the pumping of the brightness distracting. Turn it off and it kills the LCD black advantage to a considerable degree. The TX1080 would be best for ambient light or large screens. I'd say just get a JVC RS-1. I might get one for $1,500. 15,000:1 NATIVE contrast.

Can this projector be used effectively on a blank white wall or would I need to buy a screen of some sort?
I'm considering this purchase, but there is only 1 HDMI input...??
