I hate war, I hate what America is doing in the middle East, but.....One CANNOT argue the Courage these men and women portray everyday, going into a foreign country for reasons that incredibly UNCLEAR BUT STILL THEY ARE WILL TO DIE FOR US....US!!!! Why!?!? Do we deserve their Sacrifice? In my opinion we do not, but still they do. SO I salute you brave men and women and please know that whatever happens you will always have our hearts.

Rise formed from Joe and Dan who got off of 88 Fingers Louise, a PUNK band.

Rise grew up in the Punk scene, signed to FAT WRECK CHORDS who only signs Punk bands. Rise was influenced by Bad Religion, Anti-Flag, Descendents, Refused etc who are Punk bands.

They tour with Punk bands, they write Punk lyrics, they are Punk

Make it Stop is just one of a few exception.They're as Punk as Bad Religion

This song is saying that soliders are NOT fighting for our freedoms.

This song/ band are AGAINST the U.S military and militarism.

This song is saying that our soldiers are NOT protecting us, but are protecting the interests of multi-national corporations and the politicans who benefit.

This song is saying that they're not giving their lives for our freedom.

After all, Rise Against means "rise AGAINST" and they're a PUNK band.
