Was at that game, it was f*cking brilliant.

I was at the game, right behind where this happened. The umpire called it back really late, and was a good 50m away from the contest. No way the umpire could have conclusively seen that it was out. Even on the replay I'm not sure if the ball went all the way out. I think in these situations they should give benefit of the doubt to the player.

this hurts to say being a cralton supporter but the goal umpire cant signal for a goal or point till the all clear has been giving by the field umpire, fair enough it was called out, but how could a field umpire give the all clear, then the goal umpire signal a goal, all before they heard the boundary umpires whistle, makes you wonder, and if that had of been a field umpire making a shocking call ( happens a plenty ) they wouldnt reverse or take back their call, but the goal umpire can/does?

@SweetbirdKamakazie hawthorn founded 1902, carlton founded 1897, 5 years difference isnt much and we have 15 prems to hawthorns 10, cats 3 prems in the past 5 yrs, so in histroy or current day hawks are not the most successful by any means

lol the hawks are the most succusful team of the modern era! if i was a foundation team such as collingwood, carlton, essendon, melbourne or geelong i'd be shutting up on the premiership thing cause u've had over 100 years and the most any of u have is like 15 cups, good ratio :P and the ball was definatley out of bounds

Rule number 9 in the afl rule book colliwoble supporters: if all the ball is 100% out of the line its out of bounds and before u start saying it was a goal look at afl rules lots of love eagles#1fan :D
