haha...i see a little fight going on about this antenna between two of you heehee...this antenna is a quad but has a half wave matching section on it which is folded. try making a double quad!! they are even better

Dude - you obviously know nothing about antennae! Try Reading Wm. I Orr's 'All About Cubical Quad Antennas' & study the PDL-II and you'll find you're seriously WRONG! 73 de Steve

THE best dual-polarization beam EVER - outperforms a standard 2 element cubical quad - & that's a FACT! Electrically it resembles a Wheatstone bridge circuit - the rf flowing in the additional 1/2 wave cross sections is in phase with the quad loop currents which adds gain in a way not possible with 'standard' quad antenna! So, kc9cuk which would you choose now that you've been enlightened?

pdl2's are not cubical quad antennas they are 2 folded dipoles back to back. The true cubical quad antenna is great and one of the best but this antenna looks like one but just isn't. With that said nice antenna setup, try building your own quad for use!
