Two Spiritual songs by Jimmie Rodgers. The first song is "A Little Dog Cried" and the second is "Just A Closer Walk With Thee".
Jimmie Rodgers was at the top of the list of both Folk and Popular artists in the 1950's and 1960's. He had his own TV show, made movies, gave concerts at Las Vegas and other significant venues, and had many recordings most of which reached the top of the charts. His career was severely and adversely impacted when he was assaulted by an off duty police officer while he was driving home in Los Angeles. Several surgeries, a metal implant in his skull, etc. made it difficult for Jimmie to continue. But, even today, he often makes public appearances and sings. His voice is not the same due to his medical problems but Jimmie "keeps on keeping on". May God bless him.

my father died in 2000 at 6.10 am I was awake at that time his dog cried at 6.10 am the minute he passed away how so ironic you love your dog it will love you back

During the law suit the police officer stated Jimmie's car came to close to his unmarked police car when both vehicles were on the road leaving the country club. No other reason was ever given. The police officer remained on the force until he was eventually released due to other acts involving excessive force.
The result of the law suit was the city was fould to be liable but the award for Jimmie was only $200,000. Not near enough to pay his medical bills for the many surgeries.
