RE: the loaded software question:
1. Suppose Iran had a front software company in the US. With over 3000 voting jurisdictions in the US, each buying its own Internet voting system, and from several different companies, one company's rigged program isn't going to change the outcome of an election.
2. Since one company's rigged software can't change the outcome of an election, and the crime has a lot of prison time, only a fool would try it, no matter how motivated.
