@PlasmaPiano Indeed. They also play on to freeze the other player out i.e. so that lose their rhythm. Mark Williams used to smash the balls around once he had won the frame; he was not interested in making centuries.

@ahz123 Players always play beyond the limit to win, just to try and see the maximum points they can score, and there's usually prize money for the highest breaks etc. If they didn't play past the winning score required, no one would ever get 147's.. :P and that would be boring XD

@heelllloooo lol!

Why do they play past 74?

marvellous play by ronnie. inch perfect position! every shot played to its maximum quality. if he is arrrogant, he deserved to be one.

@davem732006 yup around 2004. awesome.

too good ronnie, he is the best

Ronnie's positional play is just outstanding. Loved the way he gently nudged the last few reds so one was pottable. Nearly overstrayed position on the yellow but still an amazing break from just about nothing. He really is an awesome talent. Poor Steve!

@tforde654 I know what your saying. Do you remember when Ronnie teamed up with Ray Reardon? I think it was when he won his second world title. he played at a level that has never been seen before..Shame it only lasted for about 3 tournaments lol
Imagine if these 4 players would have come along at the same time Alex higgins, Ronnie, Hendry, Davis!

I prefer Steve Davis. Nothing can beat ol'skool Davis.
