Robert Kline is 66 years old and has been battling recurring prostate cancer for the past 10 years. After a routine check-up, his PSA levels came back an extremely high 7.7. PSA is a protein that is measured to indicate a risk of cancer. A biopsy soon after confirmed that it was cancer and he underwent a radical prostatectomy.
However, tt wasn't long until his PSA levels started to pick up again. When they reached a '3' and a urologist found a slight tumor, I began radiation.
He knew he had to find a doctor with a long-term plan. Robert came across Dr. Mamus's name through his own research, and has been a patient of the Cancer Center for about 1 and a half years. "What drew me to Dr. Mamus upon meeting him - was his dedication to maintain my quality of life while treating the problem. He is a big advocate for protecting quality of life, and that was something I hadn't come across in my doctors before him."
Robert re-tests regularly every quarter and PSA levels continue to go down dramatically, decreasing each time 15 to 20%. Now this disease is something he'll die with, NOT from.
