This quadcopter was built by a handful of engineers from National Geographic. They built and designed the thing from the ground up.
While on an expedition in Guam I videoed their first test flight. Amazing footage! I quickly through the video together and posted it... the video is not perfect by any means but gives you and idea of the spectacular footage this quadcopter can take.
The camera is an off the shelf Sony HD Handycam connected to a Nanoflash.
