At very long last we get a chance to sail with some wind. A note on rigging if you have a Miracle. Because the mainsail is a bit old and baggy I rigged a tight downhaul when sailing the day before in a F4 and the boat was sluggish. Apparently the mast is designed to bend including forward so a tight downhaul inhibits performance and we sailed as fast in the F2 w the rigging corrected as we had in the F4. We wouldn't really have rammed anyone; we say some dim things when on our own.
Oops, I just noticed the mistake in the title. This was in a force 2-3, it was force 4 the day before and the boat sailed like a skip. See the description for the reason why.
