Engine 2 Responding to MVA

As I was nearing the bus stop, I heard the tones for the bus radio go off. I could only hear a few words. The words I did hear were something like, car in the ditch on Highway 1. After leaving the bus, I sat down on the bench, then the door opened and the firetruck responded. There is another station(the main station) which is closer to the Highway 1, either they needed more help or other units were unavailable to respond.
This was a very LUCKY catch for me!

@ProudVolunteer19 I think you misunderstood what I meant. In the bus there are tones that go off when there is a message coming over the radio.

I wouldn't mind having a scanner, but bringing it everywhere would not be easy.
