Wow I would be cool with the whole smiling and laughing thing but the slowed mother skills and seizures would suck. Not only are seizures painful and annoying they could potentially kill you. I hope these people can find a way to live safe and productive lifestyle. Good luck to them. :)

Who told these poor parents that their son wouldn't be able to walk with Angelman Syndrome? It's common for children with Angelman's to be able to walk. I'm glad they looked around for more information and second opinions. Good luck.

"Kid Overcomes The Odds Of Angelman Syndrome" -headline is off the mark.
Parents should do all they can do to maximize their childs potential - Physical and speech therapy. Patiently work on the learning delays associated with the syndrone.
Check the availability of educational and financialt (ssi?) etc support in your area..
Get child into clinical studies
Plan for the long term care of your child
Hopefully future research will lead to improvements with the condition.
he is cute! good luck with everything!

the doctors haven't heard of it?!?!?! We must've covered Angelman's at least 10 times in the first 2 years of medical school!
