Scott Cossu's ensemble works have the heart, soul, and skill that come from an artist motivated by personal vision rather than industry trends. His 1980 debut album Still Moments featured harp, cello, and vibes as foils for his own pianistic improvisations, at a time when solo instrumentals were the rage. His style has evolved and become more sophisticated over the years. Yet because each stage in his development was carried out with the utmost sincerity and expressive intent, each album he has recorded continues to have a life of its own.

  • @calpont From a avid listener. and a contributor of 4 cd's of my own music, at one time to Windham Hil. Theyl asked me to submit them, but they discontinued some style and branch of their work and were gobbled up by BMG. Still I remain a fan of Scott Cossu, he has held a very sincere place in my life. Thank You ! :) Barry Douglas, musician .

  • I remember listening to this while driving through France all the way to Spain, through the night and when we reached the South, the sun came up over the mountains, it started to get warm...Acacia trees everywhere......Every time now when I hear it I get that special feeling I had back then, many years ago. Thank you for putting this on. Much more people should know this!!!!

  • This is a medication for the soul. Magic. Deep. Fascinating! First heard it through Norman Kent's "Freefall" documentary, and never forgot since then. Congratulations and thanks for posting!

  • Scott,

Your music is beautiful!! I remember when you were practicing in your living room at the baby grand piano when you were in high school. You were remarkable then and now your talent is truly angelic. I am very proud of your achievements.

    Barb's friend, Lisa

  • Thank you so much to Scott Cossu that has dedicated this song to my hometown.
