@Tunks999 i agree with you the thing that caused him to fail was his ego witch just keep growing through out the show he should have if look himself as a servent of the people not as the new god of the world.he should have try to in spire other insted of get they're worship. i would have give criminals three time to change there ways exept rapist , child pedifial,& sosyopaths. @jermfb only to those how use to much like beer only go in small use if you use it to much it become a hunger that does not stop until it comsumes that person whole until ti is all that is left.plus he was not setting limet on use,rules to follow .he became a self centered ,greedy basterd that only thought of his own sirvival not his family or good peaple.He killed to frequently to save him self ,even good cops that were just doing there job, killing good and just peaple should be a last resot

@Tunks999 Well that is the whole point of the show, that power no matter what the original intentions corrups people. It's human nature. Although I think Light's origianl purpose was to rule the world, not sure if that was my opinion or it mention in the story.
