@Eximityy, um yes...they're all similar but not the same...try reading more carefully next time please. And live similar life styles, thus they're similar animals.
@VampireSSEA, they're in the same group of rodents/smaller animals though, sure they're mammals but also live similar to other mammals and rodents alike. Example, most of them come out when it's quiet and at night time thus they're all nocturnal. There's really not a huge difference between how Rats, Gerbils work and Shrews outside of Shrews having venom and being more aggressive.
@TheCryptid09 You'd have to learn to feed it, first. If you're not raising earthworms, meal worms and crickets, you won't be able to keep one.

@MKF30
Um, no. They are in Mammalia and Eutheria(non-marsupials) and that's as close to being rodents as they get.

LIke Cryptid pointed out, shrews are not rodents--they are insectivores. Shrews are not even related to rodents, other than both being mammals.

shrews are also venomous. few mammals are venomous.

shrews arent rodents, but this is cool nonetheless. If I could save one from my cats early enough, I would keep it.
