I missed the part where her life is hard. As a working mother, when I heard her whine about a NANNY.... Shut. Up. Living in manhattan with a nanny and a glamorous job and she's struggling? Go. To. Hell.

So when actual working moms reject it as irrelevant they are looking for a pity party or something...? No. I'm just explaining why I think it flopped. Yeah, in a sense it's not about me, because I know I'm not the only working mom who saw this one coming and passed on it. The whole movie IS a pity party for a character who isn't feeling the economic collapse. THAT'S why it flopped. I'm confused about why you give a shit about my pov. Are you teaching me a life lesson? How cute.

this film is not about YOU or working class...so why the fuck SHOULD is resonate with you? Not eveything is about you. Films are made to be enjoyed but there will always be a self involved pity party "I have a harder life than her waa" person to whine about things...get over yourself.

Oh, wait. I see now. You're a SJP fan. (Your icon.) That means you're going to be a jerkass to anyone who doesn't like her movie? Listen sweetie, the reason I don't like it is probably the reason most working mothers didn't like it, either. It's an obnoxious movie that doesn't resonate with working class women during a recession. It's clearly NOT just me since it flopped.

Why should the film say something about your life? The film is about the characters struggle to connect with her kids when she barely sees them. Its not supposed to be a sob story about a struggling mother. Its a film, and its about what its about. You can't criticize a film just because it doesnt relate to YOU.

I think you missed MY point: most working mothers don't have a personal nanny. They have daycare and after school care. They have to scramble for alternative care when their kid gets sick. They don't have glamorous jobs with amazing wardrobes and husbands, or live in the most amazing city on earth. I am a working mother of three. I work eleven hours a day. This film said NOTHING to me about my life.

thats what the film is about..working so much she barely sees her kids. So her having a nanny is part of the point of the film...think you missed that.
