@SuburbanMotorSports All exept for this one! This looks just as safe as conventional log splitters that you buy in the store, just 10x times more efficient!

ai niin pitää vielä kysyä että onko siinä Scanian taka-akselissa lukkoperä, kun toinenkin pää akselista pyörii samaansuuntaan, eihän tuo sydeemi vois muuten toimia? vai oletko hitsannut perämurikan pysyvästi lukkoon?

@siviili2003: Kaikki perän pikkurattaat on hitsattu yhteen, siksi molemmat akselit pyörivät ja kestävät vääntöä.

Saiskos udella minkä kuormurin taka-akseli tuossa pyörii?
onko jo kertynyt niin paljon käyttökokemusta että osaisit sanoa, minkä taka-akseli pitäisi vähintään olla, että kestää tuommoista käyttöö? voiskohan niittosilppurin kulmavaihdetta käyttää, tai traktorin siivapyörän kulmavaihetta? kestääkö tuota rasitusta?

@siviili2003: Tässä on Scanian kuorma-auton taka-aksila. Rasitukset ovat sen verran suuria, että tämänkin kokoisessa hakkurissa täytyy käyttää väh. pienen kuorma-auton taka-aksilaa. Tätä pienemmän kulmavaihteet kannattaa kyllä unohtaa.

that is a cool wood splitter/cutter. how thick of wood can it take? what are you using for the cutting drum? what ga steel?

@1crazyfocker: max diameter for wood is arround 6", any regular lumber, but harder wood like oak goes as well. I'm not sure about the exact nature of the steel used in the cutting drum (but it's weldable and slightly harder than normal.. stainless steel will do). Drum wall is about 6-10mm thick. This thing has worked about 15 years now. Only thing I had to repair once, was the gear box. :)
