No. The reasoning behind thinking this is slightly sound, but the adjective Canadian is changed from "Canadan" because it slides better on the tongue, and though most of the English language is based off of functional reasoning for its words (as it's a Germanic language), there are a few words that are changed just to make them sound or look better. These are changes most people don't realize are done quite often in language. Other examples are France's French as opposed to "Franch".
