  • Brings back memories of Vietnam. I used to work on the radar nav systems of the Gooneys in 67-68. I nearly got tears in my eyes watching the old bird on this video. Not from nostalgia - but from the fact that some idiot replaced those thundering engines. N Boldrini

  • Yea, nothing like the sound of the old radials!!! Love it.

  • Just a bit about this video aircraft and it's Pilot. First the plane is being flown by the President of Missionary Flights International, Mr. Dick Snook. Dick was one of Our CrewChiefs on the EC-47 Mission in Vietnam, 1966/1974. After Vietnam Dick continued his work using the C-47/DC-3 and has over 8,000 hours in the aircraft in Missionary Service. Dick will be joining us in Ft. Walton Beach, FL as a Member and as our Banquet Dinner Speaker. Thanks for all you service Dick,

    J.C. Wheeler
