Weaving and sensors workshop. This workshop seeks to bring together the world of textile and handiwork and the world of wearable computers. Combining these two worlds -- ancient and cutting-edge technologies -- is challenging and leads to fascinating results. Participants will be exposed to the area of wearable computers, become familiar with electronic components developed especially for embedding in textiles and learn the techniques unique to this area. The objective is to create a variety of creative works combining electronics in textiles both as a way of creating innovative interactive devices and as easthetic motifs. This workshop will enable local residents from different backgrounds to return to obsolescent traditions of sewing, weaving and handiwork in the present context, using state-of-the-art tools. In the end, the workshop products could be sold and used as a source of income.
