By any chance do you know anyone that has done this on a tormach machine? I contacted Tormach and they don't recommend putting voltage through the machine. I searched the web and can't find any info at all of anyone who has done it. The printer port does have an input pin tho.

@CncObsession would probably lead to mach e-stopping if the pc couldn't handle it.
best to test it on an air cutting operation first to see if the pc is capable.

Damn Hoss, do you ever sleep? That screen looks too busy. Do you run more than 1 machine from the same PC? If so is it possible to do other things while machining, like surfing the net? I do it all the time but I am not sure it doesnt cause a glitch occasionally. Your opinion?

@CncObsession Just the mill running off this PC, but it's fast enough to surf while running. have a video here showing it doing both somewhere.:-)
