  • yes it is actually so beautiful.

especially where she is going to leave and it goes to the scene with Flynn :( They should have done flashbacks in her last ep

  • Thanks! :D

  • Ok...now I'm crying. Thanks mate. :) ;)

  • This is so beautiful. The real version is dire in comparison. I particularly like the flashbacks as Sally walks away from Alf, very emotional :(

  • awwww i want sally back!!!!!!!!!!! :'(

  • @trompfy wish she wud come back :(

  • @jamesmt142 That probably just means that people were emotional during the 'caravan park' goodbye (which is a good thing) and they automatically jumped that ridiculous 'run out of tears' theory.

Eh, the whole episode was full of bad decisions, though it was saved by some fantastic writing and acting.

  • @Andrewsmiith I remember Bevan Lee saying that they showed both versions to test audiences, and they reacted better to having the Caravan Park scene cut. They should have put the other edit up online or something though.

  • @jamesmt142 I still think it was a bad decision and I've never agreed with the reasoning behind it. I am emotional pretty much consistently through baby Dale's death (as are alot of people, I'm sure) and by the end I don't think "oh this scene doesn't work because I've shed too many teardrops". Whether we are physically capable of producing more tears or not is totally irrelevant and not at all what the writers should have been worried about, a beautiful scene is a beautiful scene.

  • I only just realised that from 2:13 onwards it's the Home & Away theme song that is the underscore :') all the more touching

  • Oh god, this scene is so beautiful. Its so raw and i'd imagine it was very hard for them to film too, and the old music over it is a brilliant idea. I have to admit it was sad watching it, i still miss Sally. Wonder if she'll ever come back? Maybe if Alf has a really big story or dies...

  • HI all. i was a big fan of home and away / but when bobby died i pretty much stopped watching. sometimes i would catch up and see how sally and donald and the stuarts were doing then i see sally leave then donaled and the fishers split up.that was it for me. ive never watch it to this day but when they all left i think it killed the program. i loved bobby and sally. those kind of people don/t come around that often. they are a shinning light. i cried my eyes out when BOBBY died and sally went.

  • This just works! Love it. I'm surprised they never went in for this in reality, although I imagine it was for the same reason Bevan Lee decided to drop a lot of the "goodbye" scenes - which was definitely the right decision. Otherwise the audience would be all cried out when you got to Alf, which would have just fallen flat.

  • I thought that was sad when Kate Ritchie left Summer Bay after 21 years.
