XR1200 side by side takeoff: stock gearing vs 3.17 final chain drive

This is John and I starting from a second gear drag race. As you can see he does take an initial lead. However as he shifts I start to catch up because I have more gear. .By 110 MPH he's run out of gear and breath on his bike and I blow past him. My bike is still in the power band at this time. We both have V+H pipes. He has the stainless that weigh 15 lbs less than mine. I have the FuelPak and he has the Patriot. His bike still has the stock gearing.

what is your new top speed with the new gearing? i got stock and its 122

@Koolboy7591 Current set-up allows for a top speed of 130 MPH.....set-up in video allowed a top speed of 140 MPH was too tall and burned the clutch out in 700 miles.
