Season 8
03/06/01
episode 184

Upon being replaced as the narrator for Roz's radio documentary on space exploration by a living legend, Frasier attempts to undermine the project and prove his indispensability. Meanwhile, Niles and Martin do a little exploration of their own by reliving Niles' childhood memory of flying a kite. Events take a turn for the worse when Niles can't resist temptation and attempts to fly solo. (filmed 01/16/01 -- pc184)

  • I love that the acting was so convincing on that balcony that the crowd (perfectly aware they are in a studio) gasped when he tilted over the rail. lol. That is how you sell a performance in showbiz.

  • You know what's creepy about the part where John Glenn is talking about what he's seen "out there"? It isn't funny. There's no joke throughout the whole statement.

In fact, why did the producers think up this part in the first place? Glenn has no idea he's being recorded, so why did the producers have a randomly unfunny segment that doesn't contribute to the plot? It's almost like Glenn is admitting something under the guise of a comedy show where it won't be taken seriously to avoid an uproar.

  • The whole point of this episode is the truth John Glenn let out about what he saw in space.

  • did he just make the all seeing eye on his forehead lol

  • My comment was only that there IS an obvious joke to the scene. Only horses asses like Hoagland would be so pompous and humorless and self-serious as to deny the existence of a joke in there. But I never denied the existence of extraterrestrials visiting Earth. I wish I could deny the existence of Hoagland, who has hijacked many a real subject to pimp himself as some sort of Grand Overlord of Secrets.

  • @tko54321 Seeing as you have all the answers perhaps you could enlighten us all to the disclosure of Neil Armstrong, when he said on the 25th anniversary of NASA that he and all the nauts on the program where parrots? I agree that haogland does interpret facts to support his own conclusions, but i doubt that all the things he analyses are incorrect. Making bold statements like the one you just did shows that you are as arrogant as Hoagland. No one knows for sure.

  • You idiots, including Hoagland. The joke is he's disclosing all this extreme stuff and they aren't listening. Hoagland is the king of misappropriating ANYTHING to fit his selfish snake oil. Too bad George Noory is such a sucker.

  • @freebearride The writers put it in that context to protect everyone. Many astronauts have said they saw unusual activity that NASA never disclosed. I'm disappointed that I didn't realize the message of this clip.

  • @freebearride That 'dude on the radio' is a former NASA scientist who's written books on what he saw as an analyst with NASA, our Nazi run space propaganda program. Do you know that there exists a United States Space Force?

  • @Monkofmagnesia Crap? NASA goes out of it's way to obscure and blot out interesting photos from space to keep the public from seeing images its own scientists say are there. Kudos to Hoagland, Glenn and everyone else who does what they can to knock humanity out of its egotistical coma regarding the happenings in this universe.

  • @Monkofmagnesia I heard that on the radio too and had to track down the clip to see for myself , now that I can hear his line in the context of the show, yhea that dude on the radio is an idiot ha!

  • 18:11 The jig is up.
