  • Hi Rachel,I am from India and not a native speaker of English. In my job as customer service professional,I speak with Canadian speakers. This video of yours is certainly going to help me.I am going to implement the same tonight. When it is night in India,it is afternoon there in Canada.I am pretty confident that my voice would be complemented.

  • @nageshb1 Great! I hope it works. :)

  • Hey Rachel,

when i heard the part of saying "Speaking" at the very first beginning i thought it was kinda weird, but guess what,. i heard it at work today and i was like OMG, Rachel said that so i had to come back and thank you, i`m Egyptian working as a customer service agent for an American Company and your lessons have been very helpful for me as a not-native English speaker.

Keep it up, please keep doing more videos, Respect from Egypt, love you girl

  • @MrProudtobeegyptian That is great! I'm glad the videos are helping you at your job!!

    Best,

    Rachel

  • i've never heard anyone say "this is she" everyone i know says "this is HER"

  • @muffinsNsausage Both are common, but 'this is she' is actually the one that is grammatically correct. Pronouns after linking verbs (like 'is') are to be in the subject form: This is she, it is I, etc.

  • YOU ARE PERFECT! Spoken english was so easy when i was back home but since i came to Canada, some people have been looking at me differently pointing out my DIFFERENT ACCENT and that kinda p** me off. thanyou so much for such videos, i really need to know the canadian accent :)

  • Hi :) Check out my channel to help you with English

  • Hello Rachel, I'm French and I've studied English at the university for several years. Oral exams are very difficult for me because I don't speak a lot and I know my pronunciation is bad. Thanks for your videos, I can practice at home and i'm a little more confident. Hope I'll go to the US one day ! Best wishes :)

  • Sorry, I don't like to speak with an American accent anymore, I will speak with British accent

  • I was just wondering about one of the first phases you used "When I've lived abroad". Aren't you supposed to use Past Simple; When I lived abroad instead? Unless you still love abroad, ir should've been "When I lived abroad".

    Sorry if I'm wrong!

    Thanks

    Greetings from Brazil
