Douglas Marshall plays the Allegro non troppo e maestoso at Organpower! 2004 A Millenial Clash of Musical Titans, at the Methuen Memorial Music Hall. This piece is played on the Rodgers Trillium 3-manual organ which we installed for this event. Dougs interpretation of this piece is patterned after that of Virgil Fox with whom he was privileged to study it.
A search on organpower 2004 will find all eleven parts of this concert. Some are played on the Methuen Halls renowned E.F Walcker pipe organ (1863), some on the Rodgers organ, and some on both organs. It was a blast in just about every sense!
Doug and David Ogletree, his business partner, enjoy playing concerts but in our other life we represent Rodgers and Fratelli Ruffatti in the New England area of the USA and are also the inventors of the critically acclaimed Marshall & Ogletree Epiphany organ. Please stop by and visit us at http://www.organpower.com.
I think the organ sounds pretty good, but i don't like the lighted drawknobs. I would imagine that they are distracting while playing, especially with several drawn!

A very hard piece to play, yet so easy to spoil...

I agree 100% with you about those damn lighted drawknobs! I would love to hear Marshall play this on the real pipe organ.

Really impressed with sound of the organ! I realize the acoustic is very live, but if it weren't for the obnoxious lighted drawknobs, I'd have no idea the instrument were digital.
