Boehner: This Democratic Bill "Allows for the Taxpayer Funding of Abortion"

BOEHNER: For thirty years weve had a federal law that says that were not going to have taxpayer funding of abortions. Weve had this debate in the House; it was a very serious debate. But then the House spoke. And the House upheld the language weve had in law for thirty years that there would be no taxpayer funding of abortions. This bill that we have before us and there is no reference to that issue in your outline, Mr. President begins for the first time in thirty years, allows for the taxpayer funding of abortion. So Mr. President, what weve been saying for a long time is lets scrap the bill. Lets start with a clean sheet of paper on those things that we can agree on. Lets take a step-by-step approach thatll bring down the cost of health insurance in America because if we bring down the cost of health insurance we can expand access.

that's right. there is CLEARLY no funding for abortion in the 2,700 page bill that none of it's supporters have read. good job pointing out the Republican strong-arm tactics, guys!

whatever nancy pelosi says is the truth. Hahaha remember that bit about the interrogations, where she said they never told her about them and then it turned out that there was documented evidence that she was lying and that she had actually been briefed in explicit detail a number of times? yeah.... good times.
