  • WLIR?

  • @germanfilmstar

Hi, WLIR was a radio station here on Long Island, NY that played this song. I actually have the original 45 that was played on air! Bought it from one of the dj's.

There was another Sanctuary video on youtube a couple of months ago. Anyone know what happened to it?

I didn't see the other video, was it another video of this same song or something else entirely? There was a video made for this song in 1982 but it was never released. I have a copy of it on U-matic tape somewhere but it needs to be converted before it can be uploaded here.

I would love to see the video. The one I was talking about was another live performance of Sanctuary. It was here a couple of months ago and now it is gone.

I would LOVE to see this other video because as far as I know this is the only video in existence of a live performance of this song!

  • a few years ago my band got to play with goldfish , it wasnt a crowded show, but it was awesome ..

  • the only reason WLIR knew about THE PASSIONS was because they listened to THE POST-PUNK-PROGRESSIVE-POP-PARTY on Hofstra University's radio station. They were always followers, never leaders. Those that ran LI(A)R into the ground prostituted the prog.rock format in the early/mid '70's.The Passions will forever rule because they were quality - but let's not paint the WLIR radio whores as something they weren't..Spiritually devoid of character they will always be infamous brigand bastards.

  • It's amazing more of their stuff isn't up here. They have way better songs than "I'm In Love..." I think, great stuff on all albums.

  • GOLDFISH is barbara and the guitarist and we had the priveledge of playing with them a few years back .. amazing stuff!

  • just been told our band sound like these. got a couple of tracks up on our page, more to come in March. hope you like them x

  • they deserved huge success but never got it. read their story.

one of the great "forgotten bands of the 80s) m49

  • When is Sanctuary going to be reissued, if ever? I just bought 30,000 Feet Over China, and that album is the balls.
