I like both versions. The Joseph Arthur song is the better one, but the speeded up version with Stipe and Coldplay is interesting.

These are my two favorite bands. But I just think Chris Martin's voice is too spirited for this song. They are both amazing artists. I just don't believe Chris Martin went with Michael Stipe's style =/ But I love the experiment on Stipe's part. Show's how much of an open-minded person he is.

I actually prefer this version over the original. Stipes voice has this certain touch of seriousness that accomodates the meaning of the lyrics better.
