  • I actually prefer this version over the original. Stipes voice has this certain touch of seriousness that accomodates the meaning of the lyrics better.

  • I always cry when I hear this. Everyone has someone that they picture in the sun.

  • I like both versions. The Joseph Arthur song is the better one, but the speeded up version with Stipe and Coldplay is interesting.

  • These are my two favorite bands. But I just think Chris Martin's voice is too spirited for this song. They are both amazing artists. I just don't believe Chris Martin went with Michael Stipe's style =/ But I love the experiment on Stipe's part. Show's how much of an open-minded person he is.

  • @juanjoYedu he wasnt out of tune he was in a different octave, its call harmonization, just shut up and enjoy good music when you hear it.
